Pulmonary Rehabilitation

This multidisciplinary program includes physicians, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians and social workers. It is an individualized program of therapy for patients with emphysema, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, chronic asthma or other related breathing problems. Following an examination by a physician, patients receive an initial evaluation followed by a 24-session program of individualized exercise and educational instruction.

The Pulmonary Rehabilitation department also offers a monthly support group for patients with pulmonary disease. The Better Breathers Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Willette Conference Center, St. Joseph Healthcare Park, Building 1, 900 Broadway.
