Surgery Center

Our Surgery Center was the first hospital-based day surgery facility in Maine. It features a caring staff, including its own dedicated anesthesia team, in the modern surroundings of our surgical center, which has six spacious suites. Nearly every type of surgery is performed at St. Joseph Hospital. Many surgical procedures do not require an overnight stay in the hospital, but if you need to stay overnight following surgery, a specially trained team will take care of you in our surgical unit.

While you are in surgery in our Surgery Center, you will be under the care of a board-certified physician-anesthesiologist from Spectrum Medical Group.
